Alternative therapies have some advantages over conventional medicine as they offer more services which are otherwise not available. They include the following: folk medicine, herbal medicine, diet fads, homeopathy, faith healing, ‘new age’ healing, chiropractic, naturopathy, massage, and music therapy although this list is not exhaustive. Some diseases might warrant alternative methods of healing rather than the conventional and more and more people seem to be becoming aware of this.
